Helpful Tips to Prepare for Your Lash Lift

Our goal is to provide you with an exceptional Lash Lift experience. To achieve the best and most beautiful results, please take a moment to review and follow the tips below BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:

  • DO NOT WEAR MAKEUP TO YOUR APPOINTMENT* - Arriving with clean, make-up-free lashes is essential for a successful, long-lasting, and safe lash lift. Here is a breakdown of why this requirement is critical:

    • Optimal Process & Results: The perming solutions used in a lash lift cannot effectively penetrate or wrap around lashes that are coated in mascara, oils, or makeup. If the lashes are not properly cleaned, the lift may be weak, uneven, or not take at all, resulting in a poor, straight-looking lift.

    • Improved Product Adhesion: A lash lift involves using an adhesive to secure your natural lashes to a lifting rod. Makeup residue, particularly around the roots, creates a barrier that prevents this, causing lashes to pop off the rod during the process.

    • Prevents Irritation and Infection: Applying chemical perming products over residual makeup (like concealer or powder) can cause irritation, stinging, or even allergic reactions.

    • Longer Retention: Clean lashes allow the lift to last longer. Dirty lashes can cause the lift to fall flat much sooner.

    • Time Efficiency: Arriving with makeup requires more to spend time cleaning your lashes, which reduces the time available for the actual, precise, and artistic part of the service.

To ensure the best results, avoid wearing any mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, or concealer to your appointment.

  • STOP USING LASH SERUMS 24 HOURS PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT: Lash Serums work by increasing the blood supply to the follicles of the lashes. This could change the outcome of the lift. Lash Serums can be used 48 hours after Lift.

  • REMOVE CONTACT LENSES - Contact lenses must be removed prior to your lash service. This is a critical safety measure to protect your eye health as lifting and tinting solutions must never come into contact with contact lenses. We recommend bringing eyeglasses or a new pair of contacts to apply after your service is completed.

  • EYE OR LASH CONDITIONS POLICY - If you are experiencing any eye or lash conditions, sensitivities, or irritations, please seek medical care/advice before scheduling your lash appointment with us. A note from your physician may be required prior to performing any service. If you are unsure whether your eye condition will affect the lash lift service or process, we recommend contacting us for a consultation first. Lash Lift RI LLC reserves the right to deny any lash service for the protection of our guests and staff.
