Aftercare for Your Lash Lift

Lash lifts are a low-maintenance treatment, but proper aftercare is essential to maintain your results and protect your natural lashes.

First 24–48 Hours

  • Keep lashes completely dry: avoid water, sweat, and steam.

  • Do not apply eye makeup or mascara.

  • Avoid harsh products, cleansers, or oil-based formulas around the eyes.

  • Skip lash growth serums or boosters.

  • Be gentle: do not rub your eyes or pull/stretch your eyelids.

Ongoing Care

  • Do not use a lash curler after your lift. This can damage or break your natural lashes.

  • Avoid waterproof mascara, as it can be extremely drying and difficult to remove.

  • After the first 24 hours, begin using your Keratin Lash Conditioner (morning, night, or both). This helps condition, hydrate, and strengthen your lashes throughout the life of your lift.

  • Try not to sleep directly on your lashes. Consistent pressure can cause them to bend or lose shape.

  • Brush your lashes each morning after cleansing your face to maintain a uniform curl pattern and encourage healthy grow-out.

  • Avoid heavy oils such as coconut or castor oil, as they can weigh lashes down.

Following these guidelines will help keep your lashes lifted, healthy, and beautiful for as long as possible.

What to Expect While Your Lashes Are Lifted

Understanding the natural lash cycle will help you know what’s normal and what to expect after your lash lift.

Lash Shedding Is Normal

It’s completely normal to shed 1–5 lashes per day. Your lashes will not look identical for the entire duration of your lift. As lifted lashes naturally shed and new, straight lashes grow in, the overall shape and appearance of your lift will gradually change.

Shedding is a healthy and natural part of the hair growth cycle and is not a cause for concern.

Lift Longevity Varies

Your lash lift may not last the exact same amount of time with every appointment. Results depend on where your lashes are in their natural growth cycle, which typically ranges from 6–8 weeks.

  • If you have many new lashes growing in, your lift may grow out more quickly.

  • It’s common to have 2–3 weeks where lifted lashes and new straight lashes are visible at the same time.

Lash Growth Serums

If you use a lash growth serum, do not stop abruptly. Discontinuing suddenly can cause increased shedding.

Timing Your Next Appointment

A lash lift is a chemical service, and protecting the integrity of your natural lashes is essential. Even if your lift has grown out, allow at least 5 weeks between appointments before scheduling your next service.

This ensures your lashes remain healthy, strong, and ready for your next lift.
